Hyderabad Tour

Have you seen Part 1

Second Day (16/04/2023)

Place: Secunderabad Railway Station                    Time: 6:10 AM

I went to sleep at around 2:30 AM and woke up at 6:10 AM. By then, my friend had already woken up and got ready. The train had reached Secunderabad Railway Station, but we had to get off at Lingampalli station. The train was 2 hours late, so I freshened up in the train itself. Before getting off the train, our friend from Hyderabad was waiting for us at Lingampalli station. We thought of taking a bike, so we met him and started towards his room. We planned to drop him off at his room and then leave. On the way, he took me to his favorite tea stall.

Place: Kondapur                                        Time: 8:24 AM

First Sip: Smells Sweet, Tastes elaichi flavored.

This is the first tea of the day, and it's been really great. I love starting my day like this. While sipping tea, we chatted for a while. Then, we dropped off our friend from Hyderabad near his house (Serilingampally) and started our bike journey at exactly 8:35 AM. Now, we don't know where to go. Since today is Sunday and it's also Ramadan, our friend from Hyderabad suggested we go to Chor Bazaar. So, we're heading to Chor Bazaar now.

The Metropolis of Hyderabad: I've been to Hyderabad countless times, and even spent six months here in a hostel. But I've never explored Hyderabad as thoroughly as I have now. The buildings are all tall, the roads are wide, the streets are clean, and people are always in a hurry. Everywhere you look, you see signs of development. Whether it's a small business or a large corporation, everyone here is striving for progress. Compared to Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad feels like it's 20 years ahead. Maybe we've only been visiting the more developed parts of Andhra Pradesh, but I can confidently say that Hyderabad is much more advanced. It's a great place for anyone looking to start a new business, and the people here are very welcoming to new ventures. These are just my personal observations.

In the meantime, feeling hungry, we were driving around looking for a tea shop to grab a quick bite. We saw a crowd gathered at one place and thought there might be some kind of trouble, but it turned out to be a food stall. Seeing so many people there, I figured the food must be good. When I looked at the menu, I was surprised to see that they only had puris, idlis, and upma. So, I ordered a plate of puris.

Place: Moosapet                                        Time: 9:08 AM

There were 4 puris on the plate and they served it with a side of potato curry. The taste was quite different but very, very good. And the best part is that the plate of puris was only 30 rupees. Both my stomach and heart were full, and I happily started my day again. After having breakfast, we went to the Sunday market in Sanath Nagar as we had planned

Place: Sanath Nagar                                   Time: 10:15 AM

When we went to the Sanath Nagar market, it was packed with people. We parked our bike and decided to explore the entire market. The market was filled with all sorts of noises. The honking of vehicles, music, chirping of birds, animal sounds, and the noise of electronic gadgets all combined to create a chaotic atmosphere.

We started from the middle of the market. After exploring the entire market, one thing became clear to us: "If you have time, you can find all the things you need at a very low price."

We had planned to spend only half an hour there, but we ended up wanting to buy something. Finally, I found a good tripod at a very low price. The same product was being sold at a higher price online. So I bought it immediately. My friend bought some clothes. We were completely exhausted after exploring the entire market.

Would you like me to translate anything else?

It felt like everything I ate in the morning had already been digested. My friend asked, "Where should we go next, I'm hungry again?" We both agreed and left the crowd. When we came out of the market, it was 11:15 AM.

They inaugurated Dr. Ambedkar's statue a couple of days ago. Let's go there," we decided and started our journey.

Place: Tank Bund                                      Time: 11:50 AM

I've been to the Tank Bund four or five times since I was a kid, but this visit felt different. It had changed a lot. We first went to Prasad's IMAX, a local movie theater, and then headed to the Tank Bund. Ambedkar's statue was there, but we couldn't go inside.

A bit disappointed, we continued walking and saw the Buddha statue, the Parliament House model, and some other statues by the roadside. We also saw a few buildings. My friend was visiting Hyderabad for the first time, and he really liked the place.

The place we were about to go to was our favorite.

Let's find out more in Part 2.
